TREE OF THE FATES TO SHOW AT CALGARY STAMPEDE ART AUCTION
The Tree of The Fates was inspired the ancient Mediterranean Cypress, Cupressus sempervirens. The Cypress was regarded by the ancient Greeks & Romans as the tree sacred to the rulers of the underworld & to their associates, the Fates & the Furies.
The Tree of Fates was submitted to the Calgary Stampede Western Art Auction in April. After being evaluated by a jury of art critics it was accepted into the show. The Tree of Fates will be on display for the preview evening dinner gala & auction ‘STIR UP’, July 7th, 2010.
